About the Teacher

My name is Sarah McCray. I was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida in which I attended Kathleen High School (Home of the Red Devils). Upon graduating high school, I attended Tuskegee University and graduated in 1992 with a B.S. Degree in Mathematics. Then, I enrolled in Auburn University of Montgomery and graduated with a Masters in Elementary Education in 1995. I have been married to my best friend for twenty-years and we were blessed to have one child.

This is my twenty-third year as a classroom teacher and I am still very excited about teaching. I have taught math and science for many years and I enjoy teaching both subjects. My goal is to incorporate a variety of learning strategies in order to have students learn and retain the information. Also, I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to utilize technology in my lesson during remote learning. The platforms we will use are: Google Classroom, Acellus, Edmentum, and Star Math.
